2024 Bellows Cabernet Franc

Bellows Vineyard is our home farm that we started planting in 2015 and continue to add plantings yearly. In total it will be 15 acres currently we have planted 10 acres with just under 3 acres of Cabernet Franc. This is a higher altitude vineyard with very poor soils that have required extensive inputs each year of compost and growing cover crops that are then tilled in order to create the healthy, biodiverse soils we prefer. Density is high at 2000 vines per acre limiting the production per vine resulting in flavor rich wines.

This inaugural vintage of Bellows Cabernet Franc introduces our estate vineyard with a sense of confidence well beyond its years. Shaped by rocky sandy soils, the wine carries both generosity and structure, offering blackberry notes layered with florals and surprising depth. It moves between seriousness and joy, with much still to be revealed.
